Right now, poker must be about the greatest game on television for excitement and drama to win cash. I’d guess that you are probably one of the vast number caught up in the drama of Texas Holdem and eagerly watching the action unfold on TV. There are basically two options; you can either get some friends together and play a game of “real” poker, or alternatively play on the internet against the multitudes of online poker players. The best pre-flop hands possible are AA, KK, QQ, A-K and should not be played lightly. These are your money making hands which you will be making an absolute killing on.

Whether it is the world series of poker or the world poker tour or even just a .05/.10 cash game, you should play exactly the same every time and not slack off. Just because you feel the stakes aren’t as high as you would like them to be, you need to take everything seriously especially if you want to be a professional poker player. If you possess discipline and are a very patient player, you should have no problem making some great money online.

Now when you play at a full-table, the only hands of merit worth raising are the peak four pre-flop hands. These hands are AA, KK, AK, and QQ. Again, these are your money making hands and they will pay off especially if you hit trips with them. Hitting a poker set is the deadliest thing possible in a cash game. NO ONE can see it on the board and it can earn you a pretty penny or cost you a large amount of agony and money. I have been playing cash games for an extremely long time, 20 years to be exact and the largest pot I ever won was with a poker set. Let me BRIEFLY share with you.

I had Pocket 3’s, another guy had Pocket AA’s, and another guy had Pocket KK’s. Let’s just say the flop came 3, J, 8. You know what happened next? I ended up winning over $15,000 in a single hand.
