Pedicures and Class
Recently, pedicures have been the center of much interest especially in the upper classes of society or even the upper echelons of the working executives who are mindful of their status especially in todays world of economic uncertainty. Having nicely pedicured feet are currently the in thing rather than just flaunting wealth by other more obvious means.
The recent troubles with the economy have sparked a new trend amongst many executives and middle to upper class people who live on a monthly paycheck. The vast majority of the population is now on a saving mode in order to store all the wealth that they be in a better position to weather the financial storm is they were to be retrenched.
It is the pulling back of unnecessary expenses and the conservatism that is show in todays market that makes it inappropriate for successful executives and business people to show that they are willing and able to spend on luxuries that other simply cannot at this point in time. People have to be careful and not be too showy at this time; it might result in them getting a bad reputation.
High flying executives or business people who are confident of their financial position and are looking for a way to express this find it very hard to spend money now without being a center of negative news. This is normal in the background of a gloomy economic outlook and increasing lay-offs. There is a need to express your wealth and confidence subtly so people arent offended in this deeply emotional time.
This is where pedicures come in. The new trend is to have very nicely pedicured feet that are flaunted with beautiful sets of shoes. This trend is perpetuated by powerful white collared female workers who still need to spend money on themselves and choose the very conservative path of spending it on a good pair of heels and feet that are so beautiful that we dare not mention.
The thing is, to have your feet nicely pedicured and maintained that way, you will need to have time and money to achieve results that are spectacular. The pedicures that we are talking about here are the ones which can cost up to $500 a week to maintain. They involve all the oils, potions and lotions that will keep you feet as smooth as a babys bottom. Those people in the know understand that it certainly takes a lot of effort and time to keep up and will value these as much as they are worth.
The one main reason that this trend took foot is the level of humbleness and deniability that it affords. Although you can spend many thousands a month on procedures, even an expert will not be able to tell the difference between a person that was gifted with angel legs versus the pedicured examples. You can simply be humble and say you were born with those feet and have people complement you to no end.
Those that do let the cat out of the bag about their pedicures and expensive treatments can even choose to play the health card with very little repercussions if any. Those that choose to follow this trend can very easily say that they are very conscious about the health of their feet and that they are simply paying the same level of attention to their feet as they do their hands or hair. There simply isnt anything wrong with it.
Pedicures are the in-thing for people who want to show their social status without going overboard. In order to get the suitable results you will need to have a pedicure session at a proper nail salon at least once a week. Your footwear must also be appropriate in flaunting the health of your feet. The thing is, most people will not notice but those that do will definitely be impressed.
